Great Falls High’s campus lost a tree Tuesday night due to the high winds that blew through the city that also knocked out power in some parts of the city. The pine tree located on the Great Falls High Campus in between the senior stairs and the Memorial Stadium bleachers on the east side of the field. The tree was one of three trees surrounded by various concrete cylinders.
“I heard it was planted around 1933 or 34,” GFHS 2nd Engineer Tim Wagenmen said. “I put the flag up at a quarter to six and the tree was down then so It blew down before then.”
The tree was not believed to be one that was dedicated to anyone or donated by any class.
