Students in the top bands of CMR, GFH, Missoula Hellgate and Helena Capital spent the last two days in mass band rehearsals for the AA Band Festival.

CMR waspaired with Helena Capital under the direction of Dr. Edwin Powell and GFH was paired with Missoula Hellgate to perform four pieces under the direction of Dr.  Robert Taylor. Dr. Taylor had previously worked with the GFH Symphonic Band at All Northwest.

The four bands performed two concerts, one on Monday night as their own separate bands and another on Tuesday night as the two mass bands and a percussion ensemble. The band members dedicated nearly seven hours daily to rehearsals for Tuesday’s performance.
