Vista has caused great upheaval in the PC community. Between the repeated crashes, slow load times and copious compatibility issues; the system prevents productivity. What started as an attempt to modernize the seriously dated user interface of Windows XP, left many customers pining for the previous operating system.
Computers designed to operate on Vista remained unable to handle to system’s stress. Early laptops equipped with Vista had an uncanny ability to overheat, freeze, and unexpectedly shut down. Apart from keeping PC users everywhere on their toes, this chain of events proved the operating systems true worth.
The Solution? Microsoft has taken a mulligan and produced Windows 7, a supposedly vastly superior program. Reports are scarce with the newly released system; however it promises convenience, enabling the user to run multiple programs with no loss of performance and have two programs functioning at the same time in a split screen format.
Through all of the personal computer turmoil, one particular operating system has remained strong; Apple. The Macintosh machines provide a very user friendly interface and outstanding media capability. The set up starts easy and stays easy; consisting of plugging in the cables and turning the device on. The Apple line of products puts the personal back into personal computer.
On the other hand, for people who prefer working with the raw computer interface, Windows ranks superior. Also, the Windows machines tend to be less expensive than their apple counterparts. All in all, the choice between Apple and Windows remains a user preference. Neither manufacturer can please all of the people all of the time.
