On Friday, Alice in Wonderland debuted in theaters. The movie is in 3-D, or Real-D. It tells the tale of Alice 13 years after she first discovered Underland, or Wonderland as she called it. The White Queen’s older sister took over the throne and Alice is needed to slay the Jabberwocky for Underland to once again be under the rule of the White Queen.
The movie left much to be desired from Johnny Depp; he fell into Captain Jack Sparrow’s character more so than The Mad Hatter. Depp was upstaged by Helena Bonham Carter, who played the Red Queen. Carter’s performance was very dramatic and well suited for the Queen of suites.
